Translating Journal Articles : Gale

Many of our databases offer translation tools that can be used to translate English language articles into your language of choice. This guide will show you how.

Tips and Tricks for Using our Gale Resources

This page provides guidelines for using the translation tool in our Gale Resources.

This includes Gale Literature, Gale eBooks and Opposing Viewpoints

Gale Literature

To use Gale's translation tools, click on the first menu button under the black line, shown below, circled in red.

Click on the drop-down box labeled "Translate Article" and choose your language. Click on the drop-down box labeled "Translate Article" and choose your language.

The translation tool will immediately provide a preview of the translation. Please note--Translation accuracy is not guaranteed. The translation tool is a computer generated process, and may include errors. Click "Complete Translation" to finish the process. The text should now be in your chosen language. 

If you need to revert the translation back to English, click the "Back to Original Language" button.
