Library Basics: Research Guides

Helpful Definitions

Sometimes called "LibGuides", a research guide is an online library resource meant to provide clarity to other library resources and research processes. We make research guides for the support of your academic coursework here at Blue Ridge. We build various guide types, including general purpose guides, subject and topic guides, and guides for and individual courses. When performing classroom instruction, we teach directly off these guides so that the instruction you received in class can be reviewed at home as well.
