There are less limiters in JSTOR than in most other databases - you will probably notice there is no option to filter by peer review. While most of the journals in JSTOR are peer-reviewed, there are older, archival materials that, due to their age, do not adhere to the peer review process. You can be confident though, that all content on JSTOR is scholarly in nature.
