When I began to type in "Ralph Ellison", the database filled in the author's name. This ensures that I get all of the results for the author that the database has.
When I began to type in Invisible Man, the database filled in the novel's title, and specified it was the novel by Ralph Ellison.
This is a screen of results. Make sure you look at articles that are marked "Critical Essay" You will probably notice there is no option to limit by peer review. That is because everything contained in this database is peer-reviewed and full-text!
You can use the document type filter on the right to narrow your results to critical essays only. If you want to look for something specific in your results, such as the word racism in articles about Ralph Ellison, click on the "Search Within" tab and enter the term you are searching for.
